On Sunday 9:00am (2/22/10), we will be performing some routine maintenance on the Eucalyptus Public Cloud (EPC). We anticipate that the resources will be unavailable for approximately one (1) hour.

This outage will allow us to address some of the stability problems that users have reported via the forum (http://open.eucalyptus.com/forum). We apologize for the inconvenience caused by these problems.

During the outage, all running instances will be terminated and all Eucalyptus components will be unavailable. Users are asked to shutdown their instances prior to the outage as a precautionary step. Users should also be aware of and expect the possibility of unexpected downtime in the near future due to the aging hardware on which the current EPC relies.

Eucalyptus Systems is in the process of deploying a new Eucalyptus Public Cloud (EPC) that will be relocated in a start-of-the-art colocation facility, will reside on the latest hardware, and will feature the most recent version (v1.6.2) of Eucalyptus.
