I have ported Eucalyptus 1.6.2 to Fedora Core 12, 64 bit. RPMs can be found here:
http://passwd.org/2010/04/eucalyptus-162-fedora-12-x8664

BTW, this took a bit of time to get JAVA_HOME correct, install the dependencies, etc.

And for good measure, I also posted Fedora Core 12 RPMs for xen-3.4.3, which is required to use the myoung dom0 kernels for Fedora 12.

Hello,

thanks for creating the packages! Incidentally we were working on creating packages for Fedora too (which are now part of our nightly builds). Any suggestion on our packaging is always welcome.

I'm happy to post the updated spec files if that would help. There were a few changes I made.

Hello,

my apologies: I thought I replied your post, but I didn't.

Sure, we would love to see it: is it a lot different from the one we have?

cheers

Fedora

Thanks for the positive feedback. I don't personally have a need for a 32-bit version of Eucalyptus and I don't have any 32 bit machines hanging around to use for a build environment. I believe Eucalyptus Systems was going to be coming out with RPMs which may address the need.

I'm also not currently planning to move to Fedora 13 until close to the Fedora 14 release when 12 would go off of support and patch releases. I will however re-roll any new versions of Eucalyptus that are released on FC12 64bit.

Thanks for this version. I

Thanks for this version. I think it should be published on "download page" (maybe adding that it does not come from the eucalyptus developers).

Thanks again,
