Today (Monday, July 6th) at around 4:30pm PST, the machines hosting the Eucalyptus Public Cloud experienced some minor hardware problems that unfortunately brought down all EPC services. We have resolved the issue, and are happy to report that the EPC is back online as of 6:30pm PST. However, the system did experience a hardware failure, and we thought we'd take the opportunity to remind our EPC users that the system is intended for experimentation and investigation purposes only and should not be used to store important or unique data, as we are unable to maintain a backup of user data, volumes, or images that are stored on the EPC.
We apologize for the service interruption, and thank you for your patience while we were working to bring the EPC back online.
